What happens when you type "where can I rent an air conditioner in Lisbon"

Before the first search result even appears, an AI Overview now shows up: Google's own AI summarises the answer and names specific providers. For this query, the first name the AI mentions is AC Rental Lisbon — with a direct link to the site we built.

Google AI Overview recommends AC Rental Lisbon as the first provider to rent an air conditioner in Lisbon, linking to acrentallisbon.pt
Google AI Overview (July 2026): "…you can use specialized local providers like AC Rental Lisbon" — with acrentallisbon.pt as the first cited source. On the right, the Google Business profile at 5.0 ★.

This is not an ad. It's not a slot you can buy. It's the result of a site built so that both Google's classic ranking algorithm and the new AI layer see it as the best, most trustworthy answer.

And in the "regular" results? Also position 1

Right below the AI summary and the ads, AC Rental Lisbon holds the first organic spot — above forums, marketplaces and international rental platforms. Search Console confirms it with first-party data: average position 1.1 for "AC rental near me" and 1.9 for "AC rental Lisbon".

AC Rental Lisbon holds position 1 in Google's organic results for renting an air conditioner in Lisbon, with 5/5 reviews in the business profile
Organic result #1 (acrentallisbon.pt), above Reddit and international platforms. On the right, recent 5/5 reviews in the Google Business profile.

To be fair: there are also paid ads from competitors at the very top. So "position 1" here refers to the organic (unpaid) results and the AI recommendation — precisely the spots you don't buy with budget, but earn with quality.

Why this matters more than a "pretty website"

A website is no longer a digital business card. It's the source Google and AI models draw on to build their answer. A site that's hard to read, slow or thin simply gets skipped by that AI layer — no matter how nice the design.

The shift in one sentence: people increasingly ask a question and get a single answer, instead of comparing ten links. If you are that one answer, you win. If you're fourth in the blue links under an AI that recommends a competitor, you practically don't exist anymore.

What we did to get here

This position is neither luck nor a trick. It's the sum of a site that's right on every layer both Google and AI evaluate:

  • Clear, factual answers — pricing, delivery, deposit and service area stated explicitly and unambiguously on the page. AI models love to cite sources that are concrete.
  • Structured data (schema.org) — LocalBusiness, pricing, reviews and FAQs marked up machine-readably, so search engines and AI can lift the facts without error.
  • Real local signals — a consistent Google Business profile (5.0 ★, 15 reviews) and identical NAP details everywhere.
  • Technical speed & mobile-first — a fast, clean site that loads flawlessly on any phone. Quality that carries the ranking.
  • An llms.txt and AEO layer — explicitly made readable for AI crawlers, so the right answer actually gets picked up.

This same recipe — being found in classic search results and in AI answers — goes into every site we ship. See the AC Rental Lisbon case in our portfolio, or our get found in AI page.

What does this mean for your business?

The companies that win over the coming years aren't the ones with the most content — they're the ones that give the clearest, most trustworthy answer to their customer's question. That takes a website that's not only beautiful, but understood and trusted by humans and machines alike.

That's exactly the kind of website we build: fast, conversion-focused, and made to be found in today's search engine and tomorrow's AI search engine.
